Se conoscete Blizzard solo per Heartstone, World of Warcraft o Overwatch dovete sapere che la sua carriera come azienda videoludica è iniziata molto prima, su terminali come l’Amiga e con titolo come Chessmaster. Tuttavia il grande slancio che ha incoronato Blizzard a una delle aziende videoludiche più conosciute è avvenuto circa 10 anni fa nel periodo di lancio tra Warcraft 3 e Starcraft poco prima che il fenomeno di World of Warcraft lanciasse l’azienda Americana alle stelle.
Starcraft 2 è attualmente in vendita ma il primo capitolo della saga risale al 1998 è stato quasi del tutto abbandonato ( tranne in Corea ) almeno fino ad oggi. Infatti a pochi giorni dell’annuncio della versione rimasterizzata ecco che Blizzard annuncia che il primo capitolo dell’ RTS stellare Starcraft è disponibile gratuitamente per tutti. Ma non solo, ad 8 anni di distanza dall’ultima patch ufficiale ecco arrivare un nuova patch che migliora alcuni aspetti tecnici dovuti alle recenti tecnologie e architetture dei PC e delle infrastrutture, otlre al alcuni piccoli bilanciamenti in-game.
